To replace current contemporary lathe, this looks most like the one in use in WW2 picture.Other DEs also had Lathe, LeBlond Co., 13 Inch, no picture available. Destroyers (DD) typically had Lathe, Engine, Reed-Prentice Co., Sliding Gear Head, 14" capacity, 560 RPM. |

This original Slater equipment has been upgraded over the years and we would like to restore the original. The ranges and fryer are now by Luminox and were probably placed by the Hellenic Navy. |
"Coppers" are typically by Legion Utensil: Kettle, Steam Jacketed, (copper), Legion - Utensils Corp. Required for the Galley are two (2) - 20 gallon capacity and one (1) - 50 gallon capacity. For the Mess Deck we require a similar 10 gallon capacity "copper". We would be looking for ones manufactured and/or dated from 1940 to 1945. "ACQUIRED" |
![]() ![]() Laundry Room: The presser and Extractor by Monarch appear to be original. The Washer and Dryer do not resemble any in other DEs, are probably not original, and have no ID labels. We're a long way from restoring the laundry, but here is the typical equipment: Washer, Clothes, American Laundry Machine Co., Tumbler Type, 24” x 36”. Dryer, Tumbler Type, American Laundry Machine Co., 36” x 18”. Extractor, Laundry, U.S.Hoffman Machinery Corp., Motor Data: 1/2hp, 440v, 3 phase, 60 cycle, 9 Amps. |
