Aft of the number two gun are port and starboard cantilevered 20mm twin Machinegun stations. Next is the only enclosed part of the superstructure deck, containing 20mm ammunition preparation and crew shelter space, the Captain's State Room, Ship's Office, and Radio Room.

Aft of the bridgehouse is the Boat Deck with the ship's boat and gravity davits, the exhaust uptake and stack.

Further aft is four twin 20mm Machinegun stations, two each side and the 3 inch loading machine. View amidships to aft of 3" loading machine and Mk51 tubs

At this point the Slater originally had a triple torpedo mount. This was replaced shortly after the shakedown cruise with four single (Army) 40mm AA mounts. These were later replaced with two twin 40mm mounts and their Mark 51 Director Stations.

Furthest aft on the contiguous superstructure deck is the X position twin 40mm mount and it's Mark 51 Director Station. Between the X Director Station and gun is a standard compass station for emergency control of the ship.
