| This is "Officer Country." This area of the ship had 5 Officer Staterooms or cabins. One cabin on the port side of the wardroom
has been removed and we hope to restore it in the future. These rooms were double occupancy, except for the Executive Officers' Stateroom (103). Each room typically had a double bunk, a chiffonier which was a kind of bureau with drawers and a desk area, a wardrobe, and lavatory (sink). In some of our cabins the actual WW2 occupants have donated items and assisted in restoring them to as they remembered them to be. Odd numbered rooms (101 and 103) are on the starboard side of the ship, and even numbered rooms (102 and 104) and the head are on the port side. |
